Affiliate disclosure

How commercial relationships may support BuildMetric without controlling our work.

Last reviewed: July 11, 2026

The short version

BuildMetric may eventually earn a commission when a reader follows a clearly identified link and purchases a product or service. If so, the price paid by the reader generally does not change. At launch, our core calculators do not require affiliate products to work.

A commercial relationship never purchases a favorable formula, recommendation, or conclusion. We will disclose affiliate relationships near the relevant link or recommendation, not bury them only on this page.

How we evaluate products

Potential products are evaluated for relevance to contractor financial operations, usability, pricing transparency, data practices, and the quality of available evidence. We may decline or remove a commercial relationship when a product no longer meets our standards.

Your responsibility

Contractor software and services can affect payroll, taxes, contracts, and customer data. Review current terms, pricing, integrations, and security practices directly with the provider. An affiliate disclosure does not turn a general recommendation into a guarantee that a product is suitable for your company.
